A post-dural puncture headache (PDPH) is a rare but significant complication of epidural or spinal anesthesia which is definitively treated with an epidural blood patch (EBP) procedure. Mothers who belong to a minority racial and ethnic group are less likely to receive an EBP for PDPH treatment during delivery.
